Pyramid, Inc. is seeking a full-time Van Driver/DSP to transport adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on community outings and to and from their homes. This position is primarily a driver position, but will include DSP responsibilities when not driving.

This is a split shift position, 7am - 4pm, with a 2 hour break.

The person we seek must be:

• Dependable and punctual.
• Comfortable driving a 15-passenger DOT van and navigating tight corners and turns.
• Willing to follow all training methods and safety procedures to ensure the safety of van passengers.
• Willing to ensure the safety, well-being, health, comfort, development and self-esteem of Pyramid students.

Pyramid will provide training methods and procedures for being successful in this position. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Experience driving a 15-passenger van, including the loading and unloading of passengers in wheelchairs, preferred. Personal care is required.

Requirements:

• To be considered for this position, applicants must be at least 25 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Florida driver's license, safe driving record, and 5 years driving experience.
• Successful drug test
• Successful criminal background screening
• High school diploma or equivilent

Starting pay is $15.25 per hour. Benefits include group health insurance, paid time off.
